MARIE CURIE ASSOCIATION
Marie Curie Association is a NGO established in 1997 and has as mission the (re)integration, employability and independent life of elderly and people with disabilities. The actions undertaken to achieve this mission can be summarised in the following activities:
- Health status monitoring.
- Prevention and Health care training.
- Nutrition advices.
- Life long learning initiatives and training ( e-learning and ODL).
- Mentoring schemes aiming at the increase of employability.
- Guidance and counselling.
- Provision with specific aid equipment.
We also have a close connection with the business sector through the Employers networks with more than 100 members, a good collaboration with end users (elderly people and disabled groups); as well as with Universities and Scientific Research Departments.
Main function / role in OASIS:
- MCA participates from the end-user point of view and will in this respect also be responsible for the Bulgarian pilot site.
- MCA will take the lead in the local community build-up (WP4.9) and the application guidelines and standardization actions WP5.8).
- MCA will undertake dissemination on a pan-European basis to elderly communities, representative organisations, etc. in cooperation with AGE.

) is a project manager with experience in more than 20 Lifelong learning and Open distance learning projects under Leonardo da Vinci programme; Grundtvig and other EU programmes. She is an expert in developing and implementing mentoring schemes for elderly and disabled people aiming to achieve empowerment, self-assurance and social and work integration. (Equal Employment Opportunities: Mentoring and Training for Disabled people and Employers and Validation of mentoring and Adults Training and Mentoring). She has a wide range of competences in the fields of Project Management, Psychology, Education and training of visually impaired people Linguistics and Economics.
